I hope this book is a little more thrilling than Girl on the Train.
Paula Hawins’ first book, THE GIRL ON THE TRAIN, exploded onto the scene with her unreliable narrator, and characters we didn’t quite like. But the book continues to be a regular circulator in the library, and her follow up novel, INTO THE WATER, looks like it might do just the same. It’s already hitting many of the expected-best-sellers list. (Psssttt….if I were you, I’d get your name on a holds list NOW!)
The cover of INTO THE WATER is slightly deceiving at first, until you realize it is a face that is sunken beneath the surface. It’s actually an update from an older UK version which just features rippling water and spooky looking trees. I think this one is much better, and hints at what the story might entail.
